The Toyota Camry returns for 2017 with a bold new set of standard features for its XLE and XSE trim levels, but with no changes to starting prices. You can expect to get more without paying more, so the nation’s favorite vehicle isn’t likely to show any decline in popularity. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect.

Changes for 2017

The Camry mostly sticks with the winning formula that has helped make it the bestselling passenger car in the United States, but there’s still been a little bit of tinkering to provide drivers with even more of the very best.

XLE and XSE trim levels will now enjoy premium features more commonly associated with top of the line models, including:

  • Entune Audio Plus Multimedia System: This feature provides satellite navigation, so you can make it from Culver City to Pasadena or even Santa Ana to Seattle as quickly as possible.
  • Qi-Compatible Smartphones: If there’s one thing we’ve come to dread, it’s that thin red bar telling us our smartphones are about to run out of battery. Of course, you can always place the phone on the Camry’s non-slip charging platform to have it topped up as you drive.
  • JBL Premium Sound System: 10 state of the art speakers combine to deliver concert-level sound during every journey.

Even with these changes made, you won’t need to worry about any shifts in pricing structure; across all trim levels, the 2017 Camry’s starting prices are identical to those of the 2016 model.

Enduring Camry Pride

Truth be told, we were surprised to see any changes made for the 2017 Toyota Camry. After all, there’s very little than needs to be adjusted, so we were pleased to hear that adjustments were only made to the features list.

You won’t miss out on the choice between a 178-hp 2.5L four-cylinder and a 268-hp 3.5L V6, nor will you lose the chance to make up to a compelling 25 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway*. And the Camry continues to offer amenities such as Entune App Suite, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and heated seats.
