Gentlemen,

In March of 2008 I was fortunate enough to be in Los Angeles with my family for Spring Break. We rented a beach house in Manhattan Beach for the week. While on our way sight-seeing, I happened to drive by your dealership, Marina del Rey Toyota in Marina del Rey. Parked out front was a unique looking FJ Cruiser. I made the entire family stop for a few minutes to pull in and look at the vehicle. When I pulled in I was greeted by Jerry Tazbier from your sales force. I winced as he came towards me, as I don't typically enjoy car shopping, and typically pushy sales people. I explained to Jerry I had just a few minutes and wanted to stop in and quickly look at the truck parked out front. Jerry said "great, and take your time, let me know if you have any questions", and stepped back. I let him know I had to get back to the family and he gave me one of his cards and said to call with questions. I called and explained that I lived in Texas, and if I were to buy the truck would want it shipped back to TX. Jerry said "no problem", and gave me the name of a few reputable shipping people whom your dealership had used in the past. When I came back to the dealership 2 days later to look at the FJ again for an extended period of time, take the test drive and get down to talking price, I was pleasantly surprised. Because the FJ I was looking at was a Limited Edition Trail Teams Edition, I fully expected some mark-up or market adjustment to raise the cost of the truck. Jerry came back to me and said that your dealership did not do that, and that it was something that the GM and Ownership thought was wrong. I bought he truck. You stored the truck for me for nearly a week while the shippers coordinated their pick-up date and time. Jerry called me several times to let me know the truck was "doing fine" and that he had cleaned it up for me. A few days later I received my truck via the shipping company. Jerry called again to make sure I had received the truck.

I have to tell you, I have bought a lot of cars in the past most recently A Mercedes Benz and a Lexus, but none of the transactions were easier and more efficient than this one. And none of the Sales People were equal to Jerry Tazbier. I've never written a letter to a Dealership in my life before, but thought that the level of service and commitment to my satisfaction that Jerry showed was exemplary and deserved more than just the obligatory "thanks and a handshake". Thanks to Jerry Tazbier and to Marina del Rey Toyota for making this purchase a pleasure.
